Premier Inn London Gatwick Airport (North Terminal) Hotel Review

I have a flight out of Gatwick airport leaving at an awkward time, so I've decided to stay the night before to avoid the rush hour traffic.

I looked at Premier Inn Gatwick and compared prices with other hotels. It came out tops for location and price. I paid £71 for my room. Check-in is extremely easy on their self-serve machines, and the staff were very helpful.

Meal Deal at Premier Inn Hotel North Gatwick

You could do a meal deal for £26.99. That includes two courses, a drink that includes an alcoholic drink. Breakfast in the morning. I didn't do it, but I should've. I said to myself I wouldn't eat much, but I did, way over that amount in value. It's all of a very good standard. Next time I'll do the meal deal.

I'm flying out of the South Terminal in the morning, so why stay at a hotel at North Terminal? The shuttle train from the North to the South terminal is up the moving pavement opposite. Great service. It is very easy, I certainly will use the Premier Inn North at Gatwick again.

You know what you are getting with Premier Inn. A comfortable bed, a good pillow. Very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities, Excellent bathroom, with a very good rain shower. Good TV. Excellent wi-fi. Most of all, it was so quiet. There was a road outside. I couldn't hear a thing.

You hear a few normal noises in the corridor as people go in and out of their rooms, but by 11.00 pm, I never heard so much as a dicky bird. Not that dicky birds would be in the corridor. I had a very good night's sleep.

On the reception level, there is also a Costa coffee, a bar, a patio area, a comfortable seating area and a restaurant.

Lifts are very frequent, and to check out, I just handed my room card in. The man on the desk was attentive, and he enquired if I had a good stay.

Access from North to South Terminal Gatwick Airport

I crossed the road, up the moving pavement, turned left at the top and onto the shuttle train. Within minutes, I'm in the South Terminal.

I'm refreshed. I'm ready for my flight to Tenerife, where I'm staying for a few days in Los Christianos. Then, I'm joining P&O Azura for a trip around the Canary Islands.
